Runners have remarked that this is one of the most enjoyable courses in the area! The 5K course starts on pavement on Winters Road in front of the school. After about 1/4 mile, the course jumps onto an elevated gravel rail trail that runs between wetlands and out to Sperr Memorial Park. The 1 Mile Family Fun Run takes place entirely on the rail trail.
