About the race

The Maria Montessori 5K/Fun Run’s goal is to help our students, families, and communities focus on the benefits and fun of fitness while fundraising and supporting those in need.

In addition to raising money for the CVMS financial aid fund, the 5K and Fun Run is intended to give our students a special fitness goal; allow families to model good fitness habits; and to invite the wider community to join us in a celebration of health.

About CVMS

CVMS offers a rigorous, fully-certified program for preschool, kindergarten, elementary and middle school. The non-profit, non-sectarian school operates five days a week, following a calendar similar to local school districts and offers curriculum-related before and after-school programs for enrolled students.

Founded in 1974, the school is conveniently located in modern facilities on three partially-wooded acres in western New York. The middle school occupies its own building nearby. CVMS is provisionally chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and proudly affiliated with the American Montessori Society.
